CHARLIE KEMPSON

Charlie is a Director with Azure Capital.

Prior to joining he spent five years working for Commerzbank Securities in London and Frankfurt. During that time he worked for the equity derivatives, fixed income and securities finance businesses working in the areas of business management, business process improvement and information systems consulting. He has a deep understanding of finance, and his particular areas of experience include derivatives sales, trading and risk management, and e-Commerce.

Charlie also spent five years with the systems and consulting house LogicaCMG in the UK and Germany, working for clients in the Space and Oil and Gas industries.

Charlie attended Oxford University and graduated with an Honours degree in Engineering Science specialising in control systems and electronics in the top 10% of his year. He holds an MBA (advanced) from the University of Western Australia with a specialisation in Finance. Upon graduating, he was awarded the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (WA) prize for the top MBA student of 2003. Also in 2003 he won the prestigious national Boston Consulting Group Business Strategy Competition, the first time this has been achieved by a West Australian team. Charlie is a Board member of Playgroup WA.
